About

For generations, Chinese culture has explored the connection between food, nature, movement, and daily balance.

TaoWell brings these timeless traditions into modern life — not as a replacement for healthcare, but as inspiration for creating simple, meaningful wellness habits.

We believe wellbeing is built through small choices repeated every day.

Our Story

A Personal Journey Back to Traditional Wisdom

I’m Chris Lee, founder of TaoWell.

Growing up in China, I was surrounded by traditional daily practices that connected food, seasons, movement, and wellbeing. Tea rituals, seasonal ingredients, and mindful routines were not considered special practices — they were simply part of everyday life. Later, as modern lifestyles became increasingly fast-paced, I began exploring these traditions more deeply.

Through my own journey, I discovered how traditional Chinese wellness practices could inspire a more balanced relationship with food, routines, and self-care.
This experience led me to create TaoWell — a place to share the wisdom, culture, and everyday practices that have shaped my own perspective on wellness.

Why TaoWell Exists

Wellness Does Not Have to Be Complicated. Modern wellness can often feel overwhelming.

People are searching for simple ways to:

build healthier daily routines
reconnect with natural rhythms
create moments of calm
develop a better relationship with food and movement

Traditional Chinese wisdom offers another perspective:

Balance before imbalance. Daily habits before quick fixes.

TaoWell explores these ideas through practical, accessible wellness education.

How We Create Our Content

Tradition Meets Modern Research

TaoWell combines traditional Chinese wisdom, historical texts, and modern wellness perspectives. Our goal is to explore traditional practices in their original cultural context while helping modern audiences understand how these ideas may inspire everyday wellness routines.

Traditional Sources

  • classical Chinese texts and literature
  • traditional food and seasonal practices
  • historical herbal knowledge
  • traditional materia medica and pharmacological texts
  • cultural wellness practices passed through generations

Modern Perspectives

  • nutrition research
  • lifestyle science
  • behavioral wellness insights
  • current discussions around food and wellbeing

Our goal is not to present ancient practices as medical solutions. Instead, we aim to help people understand their cultural background and explore practical ways to incorporate these traditions into daily life.

Our Vision

Many people around the world are interested in traditional Chinese wellness, but often encounter information that is either overly complicated or disconnected from its original cultural context. TaoWell’s mission is to make these traditions understandable, practical, and relevant for modern life.

We hope to build a bridge between ancient wisdom and contemporary wellness — helping more people discover simple rituals that support a more balanced lifestyle.
